The unorthodox cut

Occasionally I find the need to under cut a rim, so rather than try leaning over my amply
padded smock why not turn the tool round and cut from the other side. As I did

Is this serious or just a joke?
It does not matter how you get there just the result. The quickest
and easiest (most efficient) way is the one that counts if the result is up standard.
This wasn't meant to be a serious new technique but it does work and if your lathe is capable
then it is a useful means to an end.
Note the rotation and the collar locking the chuck to the lathe! (another feature of the Vicmarc lathes)
